Douglasville Parks and Recreation Wins National Gold Medal Award

HaloUnion had the privilege of partnering with the City of Douglasville Parks and Recreation Department to produce a video highlighting the heart, impact, and excellence of their parks and recreation programs. That video went on to play a role in their submission for the 2024 Gold Medal Award for Excellence in Park and Recreation Management from the National Recreation and Park Association — an honor Douglasville ultimately won on the national stage.
The NRPA Gold Medal Award recognizes agencies that demonstrate excellence in long-range planning, resource management, community impact, and public service. For Douglasville, the award was a reflection of years of intentional work serving residents, creating meaningful programs, and building a healthier, more connected community.
We’re incredibly grateful to have been trusted to help tell that story. Since the judging for this recognition was based on the video submission itself, it was especially meaningful to see the project help represent Douglasville’s dedication, vision, and impact so successfully.
